I WON
Oh my goodness, I am beyond happy that I won (not that I won when I was wearing munge covered clothes) but I am beyond happy non the less! I am actually ecstatic that my work was worthy of even making it to KCACTF Region 8 and now I get to say that I am finally a WINNER!
I would like to say my thanks here as I haven’t been able to say my thanks anywhere else.
Thank you to my teachers for trusting me to design and work in the theater as one of the only college students who have been able to, thank you to the board of directors for helping us reach the festival and fund our stay, and last but not least I want to thank my father, who has supported everything I’ve tried to do, has helped me through every illness that has tried to take me down, and has not only financially supported me but has been the one person who has never doubted me through me whole life. The one who has both held me up physically and metaphorically. I wouldn’t be here without you.
THE AWARD
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The amount of anxiety that was almost too much I actually screamed and cried. I don’t even know what to type here because I definitely didn’t know what I was doing on stage or what I was doing up there, but I am eternally grateful for all the “judges” and students that I got to talk to and enjoy the festival with, I don’t think I could’ve had a better experience than I did.
The connections and networking I did at KCACTF will stay with me through all my future endeavors, and I am more than elated to have that on my resume for the rest of my life.
Back to school
I didn’t expect anything coming back, but I was so pleased to not only be congratulated by my peers but to also be recognized by my school
I am eternally grateful to my KCACTF coach, Summer Session-Plevney, for taking a chance on me. She invited me onto her team of designers and never looked back. I cant believe she trusted me, and I am so happy she did. All that trust and teamwork, all that collaboration and communication, is what brought me here today where I can be my own self. No other person to label me.
They are such a big reason I am still here today able to make my way across the stage and into the professional world, and I will be saying thank you for years to come.
